KUWAIT CITY, July 18: The Kuwait Meteorological Department has forecasted a heat wave over the weekend, with maximum temperatures expected to exceed 50 degrees Celsius in some areas. The weather will be extremely hot during the day and warm at night, accompanied by active northwesterly winds that will raise dust and reduce visibility, particularly in open areas. Director of the Department, Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, informed KUNA that Thursday’s weather will be very hot, with moderate to active northwesterly winds blowing at speeds between 20 and 50 kilometers per hour, raising dust.
Maximum temperatures are anticipated to range between 49 and 51 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have moderate to high waves ranging from 3 to 6 feet. Al-Qarawi added that Thursday night will be warm, with light to moderate northwesterly winds, occasionally active along the coast, blowing at speeds between 12 and 42 kilometers per hour.
The minimum temperature is expected to be between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves, sometimes rising between 2 and 6 feet. Friday’s weather is forecasted to be very hot, with light to moderate northwesterly winds, occasionally active, between 12 and 45 kilometers per hour, causing dust. Maximum temperatures will range between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves, occasionally rising between 2 and 6 feet. On Friday night, the weather will remain warm, with light to moderate northwesterly winds blowing at speeds between 10 and 38 kilometers per hour.
The minimum temperature will be between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves, ranging between 2 and 5 feet. Saturday’s weather is expected to be very hot, with light to moderate northwesterly winds, occasionally active, between 12 and 40 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures will range between 48 and 50 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves, occasionally rising between 2 and 6 feet. Saturday night will be warm, with light to moderate northwesterly winds blowing at speeds between 10 and 32 kilometers per hour. The minimum temperature will be between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, and the sea will have light to moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 3 feet.
