A 28-year-old man was in critical condition after a shooting Saturday afternoon in the East Garfield Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The shooting happened shortly before 12:50 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Gladys Avenue. Police said the man was near the sidewalk when he was approached by a vehicle. Two people exited the vehicle, pulled out handguns and opened fire.
The victim was struck to the abdomen and back, and got himself to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one was in custody for the attack, and detectives were investigating.
