       Two children were in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest and three others were left seriously injured after a vehicle rammed into a group of elementary school children on their way home from school in the Chiba Prefecture city of Yachimata, it was reported.

       Rescue workers received an emergency call reporting the accident at about 3:25 p.m. on June 28.

       The vehicle that hit the children was believed to be a truck.
