A royal commentator has highlighted an "interesting remark" made by the Queen on one of her latest appearances. Her Majesty had been undertaking visits across Scotland as part of her annual 'Holyrood Week' tradition. ITV Royal Rota podcast host Lizzie Robinson discussed the trip north of the border and the inspiration behind her unusual comment.

       She told listeners: "There was one particularly interesting visit, I thought.

       "They went to the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute on the Thursday.

       "The Queen made quite an interesting remark.

       "They were talking about climate change."

       Ms Robinson continued: "She said, 'It does mean we're going to have to change the way we do things really in the end'.

       "I thought that was really interesting.

       "We've obviously heard a lot from Prince Charles and Prince William on their passion for the environment.

       "So to hear the Queen talking about it is a bit of a change."

       The host added: "The Queen knows that her words are being picked up.

       "She knows that people can hear her.

       "She knows the impact that it has when she says things."

       Additionally, Prince Philip was known to have been involved in the cause since his early days as a royal consort.

       The Queen even remarked upon arriving at her engagement that the car she was driven in was electric.
