PETALING JAYA: Jalan Gasing Indah here has been closed since yesterday morning following the enforcement of the enhanced movement control order in the Petaling district.

       Petaling Jaya district police chief Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the road closure was in line with the National Security Council’s decision to ban inter-district and interstate travel in areas under the enhanced MCO.

       In a statement yesterday, ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said the public could use the New Pantai Expressway and Jalan Pantai as alternative routes if they have pressing matters to attend to.

       “Police are maintaining the six roadblocks that have been put in place at Subang, Sungai Buloh, Kota Damansara and Damansara toll plazas, the Federal Highway and Taman Kanagapuram,” he said. — Bernama
