KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects Hartalega Holdings Bhd, Dufu Technology Corp Bhd and HB Global Ltd to be among the stocks to watch on Wednesday.
In its report, JF Apex said Hartalega’s net profit doubled to RM2.26bil for its 1QFY22 against RM1.12bil in 4QFY21 on the back of higher sales volume despite lower average selling price.
Dufu Technology’s net profit jumped 60.86% year-on-year, on strong hard disk drives components demand.
HB Global said its recently-acquired telecommunication unit has secured a contract worth RM10mil from Axiata Group Bhd’s subsidiary to provide full turnkey fibre implementation work.
Meanwhile, the US market advanced overnight with the S&P hitting a record high amid strong quarterly earnings and concerns over the coronavirus.
Similarly, European stocks climbed after corporate results announcements and eurozone producer prices accelerated in June.
“Following the political uncertainty, the FBM KLCI could remain sideways above the support of 1,475 points,” JF Apex said.
