PETALING JAYA: Only those in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor who do not have an appointment by Aug 1 can walk into vaccination centres (PPVs), clarifies the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).
CITF also noted these included foreigners or undocumented workers.
“An example of those who have yet to get a vaccination appointment are those who don’t have identity or travel documents as explained by National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin on July 16, 2021,” it said.
CITF pointed out that this initiative was not for those who had already received their vaccination appointment.
“Individuals in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor who have registered before this will be given an appointment soon.
“Individuals who have yet to register but do not have constraints are encouraged to register as soon as possible,” it said.
It said the PPVs for the initiative in August were still being determined.
“Not all PPVs operating currently will be open for walk-ins,” CITF added.
Meanwhile, CITF also urged those who had received their vaccination appointment to turn up on the date and at the location provided.
“This is in view of the presence of more dangerous variants, the high number of Covid-19 cases and the need for protection through vaccination as soon as possible,” it said.
