IPOH: Three people died and two were injured in an accident involving two cars near the Titiwangsa rest area in Gerik on Tuesday (Nov 2).

       A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a distress call around 3.50pm over the accident on KM64 of the East-West Highway.

       A 29-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were killed, while a woman in another car, whose age is yet to be known, also died.

       The injured, the spokesman said, were a 30-year-old woman and a one-year-old child.

       “The woman who died is the mother of the one-year-old injured child,” he said.
