AFTER four months of filming for John Wick 4 in Hollywood, Hong Kong martial arts superstar Donnie Yen (pic) will finally get to return home to his family, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Yen, 58, looked relieved when he announced he was making his way back home to Hong Kong and took the opportunity to thank his colleagues on the set.

“It has been super fun and creative working with Keanu (Reeves) and Chad (Stahelski). I think you are really going to love this one. See you on the big screen,” he said in a video posted on Instagram.

Yen, who played the titular character in the Ip Man film franchise, also revealed the gifts he received from his co-stars.

They include a Chinese flute embossed with golden letters which read “Thank you Donnie. You’re the best. – Keanu” and a T-shirt from Reeves and Stahelski.

Directed by Stahelski, John Wick 4 is the fourth instalment of the action-thriller series which stars Reeves.

       > A confused wild boar was spotted running around a neighbourhood in Bukit Mertajam and nearly causing a traffic accident, China Press reported.

Video footage showed the animal running in a zig-zag pattern on the road at Taman Sri Rambai and nearly being run over by a food delivery rider.

Its quick reflexes managed to help it evade the motorcycle and it was seen later running towards the river.

It jumped into the river and swam in the direction of a nearby woods.

       > The daily also reported that a newly-married man from Chongqing, China, who invited 23 of his colleagues to attend his wedding reception, was told to return all the angpow as they were deemed to have been “improper benefits”.

To add insult to injury, the episode also caused him to lose his job.

The 28-year-old man, whose surname was Yang, invited 23 of his colleagues to attend his wedding reception on Sept 19.

However, he was surprised to receive a notice from his bosses a week later that one of the attendees had made a complaint that his actions were considered to have been reaping “improper benefits”.

Yang was asked to return all the money received from his colleagues, which amounted to 4,389 yuan (RM2,853), and apologise to his colleagues. He returned all the money only to later be asked to resign.

When interviewed, Yang said: “I don’t mind the money. What I care about is my reputation. We lost money organising the reception but had an aim to make it a festive event for everyone. That was our intention.”
