PETALING JAYA: IJM Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IJM Corp Bhd, has secured three construction contracts worth RM680mil.

       In a statement, IJM Corp said the contracts comprised a RM242.4mil serviced apartment project in Segambut, a RM382.8mil luxury residential project in Bukit Kiara, both in Kuala Lumpur, and a RM55mil factory expansion project in Batu Kawan, Penang.

       It said the Segambut project was secured from JKG Central Park Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned unit of JKG Land Bhd, whereby IJM Construction will be responsible for the construction of two tower blocks of serviced apartments.

       “The serviced apartments make up Phase 2 of JKG Land’s flagship The ERA @ Duta North mixed development project in Segambut. Construction has commenced this month and is scheduled for completion within 38 months in December 2024,” it said.

       As for the RM382.8mil luxury residential project which was awarded by Sime Darby Property (KLGCC Resort) Sdn Bhd, IJM Construction will build two 41-storey luxury residential towers for the developer’s Jendela Residences within the KLGCC Resort township in Bukit Kiara.

       On the RM55mil factory expansion project, IJM Corp said it is for electronics manufacturing services firm, Hotayi Electronic (M) Sdn Bhd.

       IJM Corp said the three contract awards will bring IJM Construction’s year-to-date contract wins to eight projects worth RM1.34bil for its financial year ending March 31, 2022.

       As of end-June 2021, the outstanding order book of IJM’s Construction division remained healthy at approximately RM4bil, it added. ― Bernama
