KUCHING: Polling in the 12th Sarawak election has officially closed as of 5pm Saturday (Dec 18).

       There are 1,866 voting centres statewide, and many of them in low population areas closed as early as 2pm.

       The Election Commission said as of 4pm, the voter turnout is 55%.

       There are 82 seats contested in this election.
