PASIR GUDANG: Two motorists were injured in an accident involving a car and a motorbike at Jalan 9/9, Taman Air Biru near here on Wednesday (Feb 16).
Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue Department chief Ibrahim Omar said the department received an emergency call at 8.53pm.
He said five firefighters from the Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue Department were deployed to the scene led by senior officer II Razali Hussein.
“One Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle and an Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) vehicle were used in the operations,’’ Ibrahim said in a statement.
He said the incident involved a Volkswagen driven by a man and a Yamaha LC motorbike ridden by a man.
“The rider of the motorbike plunged into a 0.60 metre (2ft) drain and our men managed to pull him out,’’ said Ibrahim.
He said both victims were sent to Sultan Ismail Hospital in Pandan, Johor Baru by EMRS.
The operations ended at around 9.20pm.
