A man received three citations Saturday night after driving an unauthorized vehicle onto the NASCAR racetrack, police said.

       The 46-year-old man drove into a barrier around 9 p.m., just after the night’s race was postponed due to lightning, a preliminary investigation suggested. Police apprehended the man in the 1200 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

       Police said the track wasn’t in use at the time.

       NASCAR representatives declined to comment on the incident.
