The Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Police Department pulled the body of a man from the Chicago River Friday morning near Michigan Avenue, officials said.

       Officials were alerted to the scene shortly before 10 a.m..

       Detectives have opened a death investigation pending autopsy results.

       The identity of the victim was pending.
