AN 11-year-old boy who was found wandering alone on the streets of Johor Baru has been reunited with his parents, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The boy was found alone along Jalan Susur by a man who then took him to the police station.

When questioned, the boy said he lives with his family in Taman Tasek Legenda and was studying in a Tamil school in Johor Baru.

South Johor Baru police chief Asst Comm Rauf Selamat said no injuries were found on the boy.

The boy’s father is apparently working in Singapore while the mother had recently given birth, but the child had left the house without informing his mother.

Police handed over the boy to his parents after verifying his identity.

ACP Rauf said that the police were thankful for the concern shown by the public.
