A 52-year-old man was killed Friday in an ATV crash in Silver Spring, Montgomery County police said.

       Officers responded around 5:14 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle crash on private property in the 1100 block of Briggs Chaney Road, police said. The man, Paul Benedict Herbert of Silver Spring, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, adding that an investigation is underway and that no foul play is suspected.

       The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death, police said.
