       KUWAIT CITY, Jul 3: In a reassuring message to Kuwaiti citizens, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Alyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Durra Manpower Company, confirmed that, following the directives of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, as well as the company’s Board of Directors, efforts are underway to address the issue of recruiting domestic workers and ease the burden on citizens. Filipino domestic workers will be available to citizens as soon as the recruitment process begins.

       Al-Alyan stated “The cost of recruiting Filipino domestic workers will be 700 dinars, including the travel ticket, while the cost for Sri Lankan domestic workers will be 750 dinars, also including the ticket. The cost for recruiting a domestic worker, driver, or cook will be 180 dinars, including the ticket.”

       Al-Alyan revealed that Al-Durra had contacted the Cooperative Societies Union to establish company branches in various governorates. The union has shown great cooperation, and these branches will soon be operational to serve all citizens.

       He added that the company collaborates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Public Authority for Manpower to open recruitment markets in new Asian and African countries, reports Al Rai. He praised the positive response from government agencies, expressing hope for tangible results soon, and appreciated the efforts of the Ministries of Interior, Foreign Affairs, and Manpower.

       He concluded by thanking Kuwait Airways, represented by its Chairman of the Board of Directors; the Public Investment Authority, represented by its Managing Director; the Public Authority for Minors Affairs, represented by its Director General; the Public Institution for Social Security, represented by its Director General; and the Union of Cooperative Societies, represented by its Chairman, for their unwavering support to the company.
