SEPANG: Teenager Ali Imran Naseruddin, who went missing since Thursday (June 16) has been found safe.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said police patrolmen from the Ampang Jaya district police headquarters found the 16-year-old boy at Jalan Seraya Kampung Melayu Ampang at about 3.05am on Sunday (June 19).

"The boy has been found and he is safe," he said when contacted.

Ali Imran was discovered missing from his room at about 5.30am when his mother, Wan Esuriyanti Wan Ahmad, wanted to wake him for school.

ACP Wan Kamarul Azran had previously said the teenager was last seen walking alone from the residential area in Bandar Bukit Puchong 2 at 3.57am on Thursday.

The teen's mother said she was grateful that her son had been found safe.

"As at 4 am, Sunday, we have been reunited with our beloved Ali Imran. Words just can't describe our emotions, the greatest blessing and miracle that were given to us.

"From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to extend our highest appreciation to our family and friends, who have been helping us in bringing Ali home. Ali is now in good health, though a bit lethargic," she said in a Facebook post.

She also expressed her deep gratitude to Sjn Nur Arfidah Mohamed and her team from Sepang CID division for their tireless efforts in following the leads from the public.

"Special appreciation to Kpl Nasir and his partner from IPD Ampang Jaya who found Ali and picked him up, before calling us to inform us of the good news this morning at 3.26am.

"Most of all, to every single one of you whether you know us personally or otherwise - who showered us with your words of support and prayers, we don't know how to repay your kind deeds. We won't be able to thank them personally. Only Allah can repay your kindness and sincere support," she said.

She also hoped that people would not speculate about her son in connection with the incident.

"Before we end, we like to add that we never wish for any parents to go through this ordeal of having a child going missing, but we also hope no judgment is made on our son. No one will truly understand his actions but he has his reasons," she said.
