THE father of an actress pleaded not guilty at a Magistrate’s Court in Shah Alam when he was charged with making an armed threat against a man, reported Utusan Malaysia.
Former Air Force personnel Harizal Hashim, 49, claimed trial when the charge was read out to him before Magistrate Mohamad Redza Azhar Rezali.
Harizal, the father of actress Nynaa Harizal of the Malay drama Kekasih Paksa Rela, was said to have threatened Mohamad Nur Usry Mohd Yusoff, 25, using a CZP-07 pistol.
In pleading for lower bail, Harizal, who was unrepresented, asked for his trial to be fixed at a later date as he was currently hiring a lawyer to deal with his daughter’s divorce. Bail was fixed at RM3,000 with one surety while the case was fixed for mention on Dec 30.
Nynaa’s marriage to Mohamed Fahmi Ilyas, 29, is currently embroiled in controversy after he lodged a report on Nov 1 alleging that the 25-year-old actress had been “kidnapped” by her father while filming on location.
“I love you, sayang (love). I’m always here for you. You can contact me anytime. I hope we can meet again soon,” he said while filing his petition at the Kuala Lumpur Syariah Court for Nynaa, whose real name is Nurul Hanynaa Harizal, to return soon.

The picture, which was uploaded to Instagram, showed the 31-year-old posing in the bathtub with her body only covered in soap bubbles.
“After a long rest, I have returned to the filming set. I’m going back to my love (acting),” she wrote in the caption.
The post was met with criticisms against the actress, who is known for her role in Girlfriend Aku Dari Neraka.
