KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch on Thursday include Pekat Group Bhd, Solarvest Holdings Bhd, TH Plantations Bhd, Paramount Corp Bhd and Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB), according to JF Apex Research.

       Pekat Group Bhd secured a contract worth RM18.1mil to build solar photovoltaic power plants at 16 sewerage treatment plants.

       Solarvest Holdings Bhd has secured an RM175mil contract to build a solar photovoltaic (PV) energy generating facility in Chuping, Perlis.

       Bloomberg quoting sources reported that Lembaga Tabung Haji is considering taking TH Plantations Bhd private amid a rally in palm oil prices.

       Paramount Corp Bhd is buying a parcel of freehold residential land measuring approximately 13.25 hectares in Selangor for RM102.69mil.

       SCIB has bagged a contract worth an estimated RM80mil to procure, supply, install, test and commission medical equipment for the proposed development of a specialist hospital in Bandar Baru Uda, Johor Bahru.

       Meanwhile, the US market ended flat overnight after US companies reported fewer jobs created while investors wait for today's initial jobless claims report.

       Earlier, European stocks climbed amid higher-than-expected inflation, lower manufacturing PMI and lower German retail sales.

       “Following yesterday's profit taking, the FBM KLCI could remain sideways below the 1600-point psychological level,” JF Apex said.
