KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks that could see increased investor interest include Kuala Lumpur Kepong, KLCCP Staple Group, TSH Resources, UWW Holdings, Farm Fresh, Boustead Heavy Industries, Menang, Perak, Sime Darby, Malakoff, Pekat Group and GDeX, said JF Apex Research.
Companies that recorded improvement in quarterly earnings include Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd, KLCCP Stapled Group, TSH Resources Bhd, UMW Holdings Bhd, Farm Fresh Bhd, Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd, Menang Corp (M) Bhd, and Perak Corp Bhd.
On the flip side, Sime Darby Bhd, Malakoff Corp Bhd, Pekat Group Bhd, and GDEX Bhd posted lower profits.
Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd has been slapped with a civil suit after defaulting its RM100mil Islamic Commercial Papers (ICP).
KNM Group Bhd is selling its entire stake in German-based Borsig GmbH for RM1.03bil with an estimated loss of RM490.55mil.
Meanwhile, JF Apex said the FBM KLCI could remain pressured with support 1,520 points following the negative sentiment and uncertainties
The US market ended mixed with the Dow inching higher while the S&P and Nasdaq declined as technology counters took a beating.
