TAIPING (Bernama): A soldier and a trader have been charged in a Magistrate’s Court here with the murder of an army retiree.

       However, no plea was recorded after the charge was read out to Warrant Officer Mohd Hafidz Ibrahim, 34, and Muhammad Ahmad Md Yusoff, 31, before magistrate Nur Farah Syahidah Mohd Noh on Wednesday (Oct 27).

       The two men were charged with murdering Mohd Zaki Md Aluwee, 42, in a forested area near Jalan Kubu Gajah-Lenggong in Selama between 5.30pm and 10.50pm on Oct 10.

       The charge, framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, provides for the death sentence upon conviction.
