A mother and daughter were arrested and charged in the slaying of the mother’s boyfriend in Maryland.
Prince George’s County police said Cheryl Wright, 49, of Kentland, and her daughter Jasmine Wright, 31, of Washington, D.C., were both charged in the fatal stabbing of Daniel Gregory Thompson, 68, of Kentland.

Cheryl Wright and Thompson were in a relationship, police said.
The slaying happened around 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 15 at a home in the 6700 block of W. Forest Road in the Hyattsville area, police said.
An initial investigation found that the mother and daughter allegedly stabbed Thompson during an argument. Thompson died two days later, police said.
The women are charged with first- and second-degree murder.
