KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) leaders have agreed to continue working together despite what is happening in the peninsular political front, says Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor(pic)
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia state chief said he had spoken to all component parties in GRS and they had all agreed to continue working as one.
“This is for the sake of Sabahans and to respect the mandate given to us in the last state elections.
“I hope the political uncertainties and crisis at the federal level can be solved amicably and justly so that problems faced by the nation and people due to Covid-19 can be resolved,” he added.
Hajiji said they would only focus on getting the state back on track amid the Covid-19 pandemic while strengthening the GRS state government.
GRS comprises Sabah Barisan Nasional (Sabah Umno, Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah, MCA and MIC), Sabah Perikatan (Sabah Bersatu, Sabah STAR, Sabah Progressive Party, Sabah PAS and Gerakan), and Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS).
