KUCHING: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has won in the Belaga and Sebuyau state seats, says the Election Commission.
GPS candidate Datuk Liwan Lagang retained the Belaga seat with 3,552 votes, more than 2,000 votes more than his closest rival, PSB’s Henry Usat Bit who polled 1,307 votes.
PBK's John Bampa (97) and Independent candidate Siki Balarik managed to garner 97 and 81 votes, respectively.
In Sebuyau, GPS candidate Datuk Julaihi Narawi won with 4,937 votes.
Amanah candidate Wel @ Maxwell Rojis garnered 803 votes while PBK's Wan Chee Wan Mahjar managed to get 486 votes.
