KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) is buying 22 acres of leasehold land near Ipoh, Perak for RM31.5mil from major shareholder Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din.
His son, Mohd Imran Mohamad Salim is MRCB's group managing director.
In a filing on Friday, MRCB said wholly owned Seri Iskandar Development Corp Sdn Bhd (SIDEC) has entered into a deal to acquire 18 parcels of leasehold land from Gelanggang Harapan Sdn Bhd.
"The subject properties are located opposite a proposed mixed development to be undertaken by SIDEC in Simpang Pulai, Perak," the company said.
The company estimated that the additional gross development value to the Simpang Pulai Development was RM307mil.
