Her school spent two weeks trying to contact Millie's parents after the teen from Sunderland stopped showing up for lessons, but got no response.
Northumbria Police were then contacted, and cops visited the family's home on January 25.
Neighbours told officers the family may have moved from the area a week earlier, without telling their landlord or school authority.
Officers are urgently searching for her and said it is important Millie or her parents contact their nearest police station.
Millie’s family have links to the Scarborough and Hull areas but officers have not ruled out that they may currently be elsewhere.
A spokesperson said: "It is believed that Millie is travelling around various areas of the country in company with her parents.
