CAIRO, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Monday that Egypt has made great strides in multiple vital sectors over the past eight years of development, state-run MENA news agency reported.
"Egypt is ready to offer its expertise to any Arab or African states in the field of construction," Madbouly said at the opening of the seventh edition of the Builders of Egypt Forum held in the capital Cairo.
Housing, transport, roads, and digital transformation are among the sectors the Egyptian prime minister has described as high-flying over the past eight years.
"To mitigate the impacts of a growing population, Egypt has built 15 new cities of the 4th generation, uprooted the dangerous slums, and moved its residents to safe housing units," he said.
The ongoing Builders of Egypt Forum, the largest of its kind in the construction field in the most populous Arab country, hosts more than 500 participants from Egypt, Arab, and African countries in housing, investment, and service sectors.
