JOHOR BARU: The number of evacuees has declined as Johor’s flood situation continues to see improvement in three affected districts on Monday (Jan 15).

       According to the state disaster management committee, as of noon, there are 210 evacuees placed at five relief centres in Kota Tinggi, Segamat and Batu Pahat.

       The committee said Kota Tinggi still has the most number of evacuees with 124 followed by Segamat (63) and Batu Pahat (23).

       “There are five relief centres still in operation namely SK Sungai Telor and SK Semanggar in Kota Tinggi, Balairaya Kampung Batu Badak and Dewan Komuniti Kampung Tasek in Segamat and SK Bukit Kuari in Batu Pahat,” it said.

       The committee also said that the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) had forecast good weather throughout Johor today.
