KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): A total of 11 more food courts at rest and service areas (R&R) and lay-bys at PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) highways will reopen for dine-in from Saturday (Sept 18) onwards.

PLUS, in a statement on Saturday, said this followed the National Security Council (NSC) safety directive that allowed 100% operating capacity upon complete vaccination of 80% of its employees.

It said the locations opened today were the Tapah R&R (Southbound and Northbound), Rawang (Northbound), Dengkil (Southbound and Northbound) and Pagoh (Southbound), meanwhile Ulu Bernama R&R (Southbound) will start its operation on Monday (Sept 20), and Seremban R&R (Southbound and Northbound), Nilai Lay-by (Northbound) and Serdang Lay-by (Northbound) will reopen on Tuesday (Sept 21).

On Thursday (Sept 16), PLUS announced that the Simpang Pulai Lay-by (Southbound), Mambau (Eastbound and Westbound), Sungai Buloh Lay-by (Southbound) and Sungai Buloh Overhead Bridge Restaurant food courts are opened for dine-in starting Friday (Sept 17).

"For dine-in, verification of fully vaccinated customers are required by showing their MySejahtera Covid-19 vaccination status at the point of ordering the food at the outlets operated by business partners and will be given a green sticker tag prior to entering the food court dining area,” said the statement.

Highway customers who have yet to be fully vaccinated can still enjoy the menus with take-aways from the R&R and PLUS recommends minimising contact by using the free PLUS App’s Pre-Order function or via https://orderdisini.plus.com.my/ from participating business partners and stall operators. - Bernama
