Nigel Farage debates Brexit with Remainer on GB News
Brexiteers have furiously hit out at the hypocrisy of the European Union after it emerged that officials in Brussels are considering a legal challenge to new laws in Britain cracking down on militant strikes.
Ursula von der Leyen's European Commission is said to believe the new laws which guarnatee a minimum service in the UK during strikes break the terms of the Brexit trade deal and are mulling over triggering a formal dispute.
This is despite the fact that near identical laws already exist in EU member states including France.
The new law was introduced to prevent NHS strikes and disputes involving other vital services where cover was needed to save lives or prevent the economy from crashing.
One leading Brexiteer has told Express.co.uk that the Commission is now deliberately trying to use technicalities to "ruin" the UK economy.

Former Brexit Party MEP and now chairman of the Independent Business Network (IBN) John Longworth believes there's an element of revenge in the EU's actions.
He said: "Essential services are just that and it is vital for the economy that they are kept running. Unions cannot be allowed to hold countries to ransom and destroy people’s livelihoods.
"The West is becoming riddled with the idea that work doesn’t matter, someone else will do it and the state will provide. It is the road to ruin."
Former Brexit Minister David Jones added: “Minimum service levels are essential to ensure that disruption to the public by industrial action is not allowed to exceed reasonable levels.
“It is about time that the EU recognised that the economic difficulties they are currently experiencing will continue, unless there is reasonable regulation of industrial relations.

“Fortunately, their rules don’t apply in the UK, but there is no doubt that they would be adopted if Labour were to win the next election.”
A government spokesman has insisted that the new UK legislation on strikes is “compatible with all our international trade obligations” including the Brexit deal.
He added: “Many members of the EU already have minimum service levels legislation in place covering a broad range of services.

“We’ve been clear that there needs to be a reasonable balance between the right of workers to strike and the rights of the public, who work hard and expect essential services that they pay for to be there when needed.”
But an EU source told the Daily Telegraph that the Commission is "looking into" making a formal objection.
