PETALING JAYA: Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld Malaysia) will continue its emphasis on the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects when carrying out its projects.
Executive director, president, and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah said ESG practices have been weaved into the group’s projects from the conceptualisation, design and construction stages.
“As the impact of climate change continues to be felt around the world, we are increasingly conscious of the group’s carbon footprint and the importance of monitoring and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions,” he said during the launch of company’s world environment month event. It would be commemorating World Environment Day this Sunday.
The property developer is committed to driving sustainable developments both in operations and the communities.
The characteristics of EcoWorld development are sustainable design, accessibility, amenities, recreation and community-building.
“While trends may come and go, we strongly believe that the characteristics mentioned above are important factors for sustainable townships to thrive,” EcoWorld said in a statement.
