PUTRAJAYA: Enforcement authorities have ordered 31 premises to close after they were found to have breached standard operating procedures (SOP).
The premises that were taken action against by the task force monitoring SOP adherence comprised four factories and 27 business premises.
These were among 74,561 premises checked nationwide on Sunday (July 25), involving 18,894 personnel from various agencies.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this includes checks on 1,819 factories, 13,797 business premises, 702 construction sites and 198 workers’ hostels.
“The government has beefed up enforcement and checks on factories and business premises following many complaints of SOP violations,” he said on Monday (July 26).
