On April 25, 2017, the Valdai Discussion Club experts will meet with Mr. Lamberto Zannier, OSCE Secretary General.

       Europe is going through a period of uncertainty, which can be characterised by several factors. Unresolved and frozen conflicts, growing social and political uncertainty in leading countries, problems associated with the impact of the migration flows on public opinion, militarisation of the political discourse: all of this has a direct effect on European security and generates new challenges for the OSCE. How prepared is the organisation to handle this new situation? How can institutions of European security be adapted for the developments of the 21st century? How can the key players reach an agreement on the new game rules? These topics will be discussed at the event.
