Two ATMs were taken from separate businesses almost simultaneously early Thursday, Chicago police said.
The cash machines were taken from a convenience store in the Mayfair neighborhood and a restaurant in the Albany Park neighborhood.
About 4:10 a.m. in the 4400 block of North Elston Avenue, someone broke into a convenience store and removed an ATM, according to a police media notification.
At approximately 4:12 a.m., an ATM was taken from a vestibule of a restaurant in the 3500 block of West Montrose Avenue after someone broke out of the window.
There were no further details and no one is in custody.
Police said Thursday morning it is too early to tell if the robberies were connected.
