A large crane tipped over Wednesday afternoon near an Edgewater Beach neighborhood CTA station, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported in the crash, that happened about 3:15 p.m. near the Red Line station, at 1119 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., said Chicago Fire Dept. spokesman Larry Langford.
The collapse of the crane, which had a drill attached, caused its cab to be inverted, the partial evacuation of a nearby building, and CTA delays.

Service on the Brown line was back to normal, according to the CTA. On the Red line, trains were running but not stopping at the Bryn Mawr station and shuttle buses are available between the Thorndale and Argyle stops. The Purple line was making express stops between Howard and Belmont.
Eastbound 92 Foster buses were temporarily rerouted via Bryn Mawr, Hollywood, and Sheridan.
