KUALA LUMPUR: Two football supporters were arrested following a fight outside the Cheras Stadium earlier on Saturday (March 5).
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said that police were responding to a fight between Kuala Lumpur City and Selangor FC fans at 12.30am.
When the police tried to stop the fight, two suspects refused to heed instructions.
"They were caught for obstructing a public servant from discharging his duty. Both men are aged 22 and 23," he said in a statement on Saturday.
The two men have been remanded until March 7.
"Cheras police will not hesitate in taking actions against those that break the law.
"We strongly urge the public not to be involved in such activities that go against the law," he said.
