SEREMBAN: A 41-year-old school bus driver has been arrested for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old pupil.
Seremban OCPD ACP Nanda Maarof said the suspect, who ferried the victim to school, allegedly committed the offence at 6.20am on March 28.
"The suspect was nabbed in Seremban 2 today after the girl's 40-year-old mother lodged a report," he said in a statement on Wednesday (March 30).
ACP Nanda said preliminary checks showed that the suspect did not have any criminal records.
The case is being probed under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipping upon conviction.
