Lee Anderson slams 'bone idle' Labour party after Reform UK 'miracle' in filthy UK alley

Lee Anderson has slammed Labour after a Reform UK "miracle" was performed in an alleyway in Blackpool. Mr Anderson, the party's only MP, blamed multiculturalism in Britain for the state of a litter-strewn alley in a post on X on Sunday (April 28).

The Ashfield MP filmed himself walking down the route in Blackpool, claiming it had become "filthy" after being "flooded with migrants" living in homes of multiple occupancy.

Mr Anderson posted an update on X on Tuesday (April 30) in which he blasted the "bone idle" local council.

He wrote: "Filth Update. Since @reformparty_uk and I visited this alley on Sunday a miracle has occurred. The bone idle lazy Labour council has leapt into action and the alley has been cleaned."

The former Conservative deputy chairman added: "@reformparty_uk will always call out these lazy Labour councillors who take their money but do very little for it.

"Perhaps they should educate the people living there. Maybe they should be made to clean the alley to keep getting their housing benefit. Imagine that? Having to do a few hours to get your rent paid."

The post was accompanied by two photos which appeared to show an alley filled with litter and another with a clear path.

Blackpool Council has been approached for comment. The local authority has 28 Labour and 14 Conservative councillors, according to its website.

Mr Anderson, who switched to Reform UK after having the whip suspended over comments made about "Islamists" controlling London and Sadiq Khan, had claimed the alley would have been "full of traditional" British families decades ago.

He said in his original X post: "Kids would be playing in this alley, there would be washing strung from house to house, it would have been clean. You know? Sort of poor housing but working-class people, very respectful of the area they live in.

"Now this area has been flooded with migrants living in houses of multiple occupancy. Just look at the state of it as we walk down. Can you see there’s nappies, there’s food, there’s all sorts of filth. It’s absolutely disgraceful."

The Ashfield MP insisted the comments weren’t racist saying before the "woke, wet, weak left get into a tizz about playing the race card, the bigot card" that he’d struggled to find an English voice in the area.

He claimed "multiculturalism has failed" and criticised the Romany community before ending by saying: "I want my country back."

His claims were met with derision from some X users, with one asking if the tweets were "a blatant dog whistle" to Reform UK voters.
