EVIL Stephen Port claimed the lives of four innocent men.

       One of those tragic victims was Slovakian man Gabriel Kovari.

       Gabriel was a 22-year-old gay man who lived in London.

       He moved to the UK from Slovakia after completing university.

       He relocated to the capital in the hope of becoming an translator for the NHS.

       Sadly his life was cut tragically short.

       What happened to Gabriel Kovari?

       Gabriel was one of the young gay men who died at the hands of serial killer Stephen Port.

       He was found slumped in a graveyard near Port’s home in August 2014, but the scene was not declared suspicious, so his body was not subjected to a forensic post-mortem examination.

       Police did not follow up leads to trace Gabriel's friend, Karl Kamgdon, who had sent pictures to from inside Port’s flat when he arrived there, and was the last person he spoke to.

       John Pape, Gabriel's friend, turned detective to find the victim’s boyfriend in Spain, Thierry Amodio, who had been contacted by Port masquerading as another man.

       Both men supplied the police with information which would have led them to the serial killer, but they in court it was claimed they were repeatedly ignored.

       In court it was also revealed how a family liaison officer assigned to the Gabriel's case even failed to contact the victims’ loved ones at all, and even referred to him as being from Lithuania rather than Slovakia.

       Gabriel's killing was part of evil Port's reign of terror.

       Port met his victims via online gay and bisexual social networks and dating or hookup apps.

       However Gabriel knew Port as he had briefly lived with him.

       Port used GHB, a date rape drug, adding it to drinks given to his victims, raped them, and murdered them in his flat in Barking - which included Gabriel.
