A 16-year-old girl who was fatally shot Thursday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side has been identified, according to officials.
A Friday autopsy determined Kierra Moore, of the Cabrini-Green neighborhood, died of multiple gunshot wounds, and her death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
About 11:30 p.m., Moore was standing on a sidewalk in the 3100 block of West Polk Street with a group of people when someone inside a black car fired shots at them, police said.
Moore was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at midnight, according to the medical examiner’s office.
No one is in custody, police said.
