KUALA LUMPUR: All 123 Lembaga Tabung Haji branches nationwide will reopen on Sunday (May 8) to enable prospective pilgrims to respond to offer letters to perform the haj.

       Tabung Haji, in a statement on Saturday (May 7), said the move was following the announcement to extend the deadline to respond to the offer letter to perform the haj to Monday (May 9).

       Its acting executive director of operations, Mohamed Ameen Abdul Wahab said prospective pilgrims for the 1443H/2022M haj season to send in their reply letters for performing the haj, the treatment record book following the medical examination, and an international passport, to any of its branch offices which will operate between 8.45am and 4pm.

       "This decision was made to provide facilities and to help ease the prospective pilgrims’ affairs even though Sunday is a holiday in most states.

       "We hope that prospective pilgrims, as well as depositors, can take advantage of this opportunity.

       "In addition, depositors can also be present for savings and withdrawal services as well as the conversion of the status of a child's account to an adult account," said Mohamed Ameen.
