KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has signed the power purchase agreement (PPA) with Sharp Ventures Solar Sdn Bhd which will develop a large scale solar (LSS) photovoltaic energy generating plant.

       The power giant said on Monday it had signed the PPA with Sharp Ventures Solar, a special purpose company set up by Sharp Ventures which was selected in the LSS bidding organised by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.

       Sharp Ventures Solar will design, construct, own, operate and maintain the plant.

       “The PPA governs the obligations of the parties to sell and purchase the energy generated by the facility for 21 years from the commercial operation date which is expected on Dec 31, 2023,” TNB said.
