PETALING JAYA: As of yesterday, foreign nationals travelling to the United States need only show proof of their full Covid-19 vaccination status as well as their negative Covid-19 test results.
The US Embassy in Malaysia, in a new announcement, also shared a list of accepted vaccines that are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration or authorised for emergency by the World Health Organisation.
The vaccines listed include the single-dose Janssen by Johnson & Johnson, and double-dose vaccines such as those by Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sinopharm.
Travellers will need to show proof of their Covid-19 vaccination by verifiable digital or paper records via smartphone application with QR code or printed vaccination certificate.
The embassy, through an informative video, also stated that Malaysian travellers to the United States can present their MySejahtera application to show proof of vaccination.
“You can show the proof of the vaccine issued by an official source, including MySejahtera, CDC card, official certificate from other countries – semua boleh!” it said.
The public are advised that the embassy has limited appointments available for tourist visa applications.
