Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 17 of the total 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal (United) will contest 16 seats.

       Meanwhile, Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will field candidates on five Lok Sabha constituencies, and Jitan Manjhi's Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and the Rashtriya Lok Morcha will contest one seat each.

       1. BJP: West Champaran, East Champaran, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Araria, Darbhanga, Muzzafarpur, Maharajganj, Saran, Ujiarpur, Begusarai, Nawada, Patna Sahib, Patiliputra, Ara, Buxara and Sasaram

       2. JDU: Valmikinagar, Sitamarhi, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Kishanganj, Katiyar, Purnia, Madhepura, Gopalganj, Siwan, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Nalanda, Jehanabad and Sheohar

       3.Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas): The five seats to be contest by LJP (Ram Vilas) are Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui.

       4. Hindustani Awam Morcha will contest Gaya seat

       5. Rashtriya Lok Morcha will contest Karakat seats

       Earlier this year, the JD(U) snapped ties with the Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) to join hands with the BJP and NDA. Nitish Kumar took oath as the Bihar Chief Minister for the record ninth time on January 28, along with a three BJP leaders as ministers.

       Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP aims to win 370 of the total 543 Lok Sabha seats. The prime minister said the NDA together will set a record by winning more than 400 seats this time.

       The announcement of the seat-sharing pact in Bihar came days after the Elections Commission of India announced full schedule of the Lok Sabha polls. The EC said the general elections will happen in seven phases, starting April 19. The voting in Bihar will take place in seven phases. The results will be declared on June 4.
