ONE of Britain's most dangerous paedophiles who kidnapped and raped young girls has seen another outrageous bid to leave prison denied.

Alan Hopkinson, 69, was dubbed a danger to society after his 11th attempt at being freed from prison failed again.

The disgraced former soldier is serving nine life sentences for a horror kidnapping and rape of two 10-year-old girls in Hastings, East Sussex in 1999.

Despite claiming over two decades later he is a reformed man, Hopkinson will be kept behind bars for some time still after the Parole Board declared him a danger to the public.

It believed the vile paedophile - whose two victims said he should never be released - couldn't be controlled by probation staff if he was allowed out.

A Parole Board summary called a suggested release plan "not robust enough to manage Mr Hopkinson in the community at this stage".

Before going on to say: "Because it (the panel) did not believe the controls on Mr Hopkinson’s behaviour that could reasonably be put in place would be sufficient in light of the very serious nature of his offending, his previous record of offending and the concerns about his willingness to engage with professionals if released."

The panel ended their report saying: "After considering the circumstances of his offending, the progress made while in custody and the evidence presented in the dossier, the panel was not satisfied that Mr Hopkinson was suitable for release.

"Nor did the panel recommend to the Secretary of State that Mr Hopkinson should be transferred to open prison."

The sick man has now equalled the record of failed bids, held by child killer Sidney Cooke.

Hopkinson, joins killer Cooke, 96, at the top of the evil list of monsters who have been turned down for multiple parole appeals.

Hopkinson sparked one of the UK's biggest manhunts when he snatched the two girls off the street before pushing them into the boot of his car.

The fiend kept them in his flat and abused them until police found the pair alive in his home.

His brave victims, Charlene Lunnon and Lisa Hoodless, waived their anonymity to write a book and declare the paedophile a "dangerous man".

Charlene, now 34, has said she will always battle to keep Hopkinson behind bars for the rest of his life.

She said: “He is a dangerous man and he will always be a danger to children. I hope he dies in prison.”

Hopkinson will now be made to sit in his Yorkshire’s Full Sutton prison cell for at least another two year before he gets another hearing.

He's served 17-years over his minimum jail term which was up in 2006 to protect the public.

Hopkinson has raised concerns because of his behaviour in jail in the past.

Back in 2018, he was caught with DVDs featuring kids in his cell and this caused the depraved menace to have his parole declined back then.

Newspaper clippings of girls wearing ballet dresses and sportswear were also found.

The judge on the original chilling case back in 1999, Richard Brown, told Alan Hopkinson he was a wicked man who had cause unthinkable damage to his victims.

Giving him nine life sentences, Judge Brown said: "The public now have the right to demand that this court does everything to ensure that you will never again be free to present a risk to young children."
