PUTRAJAYA: Five localities in Sabah will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (MCO) beginning Sept 16.
The affected areas are Kampung Kiragawan and Kampung Pinatau in Kota Marudu; Kampung Nuntunan Apin-Apin in Keningau; Kampung Lungkiday in Ranau and Ruku-Ruku Boustead Plantation staff quarters in Telupid.
The National Security Council (NSC) announced that Kampung Bahagia in Kuala Krai, Kelantan and Kampung Tementong in Lipis, Pahang will also be placed under the enhanced lockdown.
“The enhanced MCO for all the localities will take effect for 14 days until Sept 29,” it said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 14).
The NSC said that the order that was earlier placed on two localities in Pekan, Pahang, will be extended.
Kampung Radong Dalam and Kampung Permatang Durian will be under the enhanced MCO until Sept 29.
Meanwhile, the enhanced MCO placed on several localities in Sabah will be lifted.
The areas are Taman Ria Height in Tawau; Kampung Narawang and Kampung Mininsalu in Ranau; Kampung Labuan, Kampung Ambong Tolus and Kampung Rampayan Laut in Kota Belud.
