According to the Johor Fire and Rescue Department, it received a distress call at around 2.42pm on Friday (Aug 27) about the incident along the highway.
Two fire rescue tenders (FRT) and two emergency medical response service (EMRS) vehicles – one each from Johor Jaya Fire and Rescue Department and the Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue Department – were deployed to the scene.
“The operations were led by Johor Jaya Fire and Rescue Department senior officer II Saiful Bahari Mahpop,” the department said in a statement.
Eighteen firemen from both stations were involved in the operations.
