The body of Mr Zaheer was also found in Panjgur after he was abducted a day before.

The strike was called by the All Parties Citizens’ Action Committee and the Traders Association.

All shops, markets, business centres and private banks remained closed, while the traffic was also thin.

Locals have expressed serious concerns over the two killings. They have strongly condemned the violence and demanded the arrest of the assailants involved in the killings.

In a press conference, the leaders of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl) Panjgur chapter have expressed concern over the worsening law and order situation in the city.

They said the district administration and police were responsible for ensuring people’s safety.

They warned that lawlessness can’t be allowed to prevail in Panjgur and demanded immediate action by the authorities to maintain law and order.
