KLUANG: The mother of a 17-year-old girl has reported her daughter missing after she was nowhere to be seen after school was dismissed in Jalan Kampung Merdeka, Paloh.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said the teenager, known as J. Nisha, was last seen entering SMK Paloh by her mother at about 6.30am on Sunday (Jan 21).

He said the victim's mother, aged 42, said she dropped her daughter off at school.

"The mother came to pick her up at 2.30pm and thought that her daughter was still in school.

"She then proceeded to ask her teacher, who told her that Nisha had not come to school that day," he said in a statement here on Monday (Jan 22).

ACP Bahrin added that, based on the investigation, there was no quarrel or misunderstanding between the family before the victim disappeared.

"The victim had never left the house before and never caused problems," he said.
